Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film best known for her performances in films such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. As the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. Alexandra began her career in showbiz at a young age. She played lead roles in TV dramas as young as 16 years old. Her critically acclaimed role in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including that of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge in the commercially and critically successful Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. The Reader is another Oscar nominated movie featuring this actress. Over the years Alexandra was involved in numerous noteworthy national and international projects. These include British biographical films Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time as well as the French historical mini-series Napoleon among others. In addition, she is a jury member at both and the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
